Earthlight 2-1, with Mikaell Barzalona, held off some strong challenges from Raffle Prize (Frankie Dettori 3-1), and, Golden Horde (Allan Kirby 5-1), to win the Prix Morny at Deauvilkle on Sunday.

Arizona (Ryan Moore 3-1), Ali (James Doyle 9-1), and, Aroha (William Buick 12-1), completed the picture.

Trained by Andre Fabre in France, Earthlight owned by Godolphin, is already set for the Qipco Guineas.

Fabre rarely enthuses over one of his horses publicly, but he admitted that he held Earthlight in very high regard, while defeating some of the best juveniles that Britain and Ireland can offer, not dimming his ardour. Son of Shamardal, Earthlight, was super composed, every inch a Classic potential.

KING OF COMEDY

This Prix de Morny, is an absolute European A Division race, which no softies would dare to enter.

The world's highest-rated thoroughbred, Crystal Ocean, faces eight rivals in the Juddmonte International Stakes at York on Wednesday.

King Of Comedy, Circus Maximus and Japan, are ready for him on the opening day of the Welcome to Yorkshire Ebor festival in a contest with a prize fund in excess of £1 million.

Enable is preferring the Oaks rather than Juddmonte, who was an impressive winner of the Group 2 York Stakes over course and distance last time, returns to the Knavesmire, joined by Cheval Grand, Regal Reality, Thundering Blue, and Lord Glitters, in an intriguing contest.
