Seventh Heaven (Seamie Hefferman 14-1), bounced back from a disappointing effort in the Investec Oaks, to provide Aidan O'Brien a fifth Curragh Classic, while stablemate odds-on favourite, Even Song, is still running.

She stretched clear to score decisively from British raiders Architecture and Harlequeen. Seventh Heaven is now being targeted for the Yorkshire edition.

Pretty Perfect, one of four runners trained by O'Brien, ensured there was a decent tempo to the race, though it was Frankie Dettori who thought he might sneak the Oaks on Architecture, until Seventh Heaven quickened well.

Meanwhile, an emotional service was held in south-east London on Saturday, to remember Woolfall Treasure, the popular former dual purpose horse who was found shot dead in a field last week.

The 11-year-old was a regular at Royal Ascot and Glorious Goodwood, in a 58-race career which yielded six wins on the Flat and two over hurdles.

He was the only grey among 24 horses and ponies turned out in a field near his Kemnal Manor Stables, when he was the victim of an attack for

which no motive has been forthcoming, and nobody has yet been apprehended.
