What you need to know:

  • Ten Sovereigns and Advertise, were late withdrawals, but they might not have matched an amazingly spritely, Youmzain.

Spanish Mission appeared from nowhere, to bag Belmont's $1 million Jockey Club Derby Invitational. He was actually in last position, but Jamie Spencer shook him up, and they zipped in sweetly.

This was in spite of Jamie becoming complacent during closing stages, even dropping his hands.

The David Simcock trained, three-year-old, broke poorly at odds of 21-10, raising pulses, only scratching home by a nose from Pedro Cara. This is another race for automatic qualification of the Breeders' Cup Turf.

However, co-owner, Barry Irwin is only keen to run him in Europe, and, maybe the 2020 Melbourne Cup. The Aga Khan's, Edisa, was super prominent in the Oaks Stakes.

Kevin Ryan waited patiently on Hello Youmzain after almost total domination in the Betfair Sprint Cup. This is Haydock's premier flat race.

Ten Sovereigns and Advertise, were late withdrawals, but they might not have matched an amazingly spritely, Youmzain.

Major Jumbo took off almost causing Youmzain to lose his comfort zone, making it by half-a-length from The Tin Man.

This horse is much older and he has been contesting The Sprint Cup in progressive style, for many years. Hello Youmzain's next target is the Qipco British Champions at Ascot next month.

On a miserable tone, Annette Nally has received a paltry 26 weeks in jail, after she was found guilty of animal cruelty and neglect, including six ex-racehorses.
This is the maximum they can dish out, but at least she has been banned for keeping animals of any kind, by Kidderminster Magistrates Court.
RSPCA representatives, along with police and locals, discovered emaciated horses at Nally's yard in Stoke Prior. One was found dead, while others had to be euthanised.
This is a total disgrace! These poor creatures suffered in the most serious of ways, ever documented. It is abhorrent that it had been allowed to continue for so long, unnoticed.
