Kenya's athletics team manager at the Rio Olympics was on Friday suspended by world governing body the IAAF pending a probe into potential doping irregularities in the country.

The IAAF Ethics Board said Michael Rotich will be banned for 180 days starting Friday "pending investigation of serious matters which have come to the attention of the IAAF Ethics Board".

Rotich, who was expelled from team Kenya's camp in Rio over doping allegations on Monday, is already under investigations in the country.

The High Court on Friday ordered Rotich to be released on a Sh200,000 cash bail pending investigations into doping allegations.

Justice Luka Kimaru ordered Mr Rotich’s release on medical grounds.
