Kenya boys reach Africa under-18 finals

Kenya’s under-18 boys’ three-on-three basketball team won the Africa Zone Five Championships unbeaten at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Thursday night to qualify for the Africa tournament to be held in October.
They beat arch-rivals Uganda 17-6 before defeating South Sudan 14-4 to top the Pool ‘A’ standings.
They were followed by Tanzania, Uganda and Sudan in the pool. They beat Sudan 10-4 in the semis and hosts Tanzania 21-6 in the final.
Kenya’s girls’ team finished fourth in the tournament won by Uganda who beat Rwanda 9-5 in the final, while hosts Tanzania finished third.
