Strathmore University Blades kept their winning form the season with a convincing 110-64 victory over newcomers World Hope in their Kenya Basketball Federation men’s Premier League match at USIU-A outdoor courts in Nairobi on Sunday.
Using the same tricks that saw them beat tough Thunder 85-75 in their last match, Blades, under coach Tonny Ochieng rocked struggling World Hope 26-14 at the end of the first quarter and never looked back. Blades led 53-25 at the breather.
Speedy Joseph Ongoro, who scored a game high 22 points, Peter Shilton and Daril Omondi, 18 points, were unstoppable on the court.
World Hope’s best reply was 18 points through experienced, hard-fighting Patrick Wakasiaka.
