Thunder favourites against KCA in KBF League encounter

Thunder will start as favourites to win against underdogs Kenya College of Accountancy-University in their men’s Kenya Basketball Federation Premier League match at USIU-A courts in Nairobi on Sunday.

After registering a 57-24 victory over Kenyatta University Oryx, former women’s Premier League champions Equity Bank will lock horns with Strathmore University in what is expected to be an explosive first leg showdown.
Strathmore University shocked former champions USIU-A Flames 53-49 at their backyard and will be going all out for the two points against the bankers.
In the other Saturday women’s Premier League match at the same venue, coach Justus Akhwesa’s Masaku Sparks will face Storms. Sparks skipped their opening first leg matches but this time round they have vowed to beat Anjela Luchivya and basket hungry forward Mercy Wanyama’s experienced Storms.
In the men’s Division One league matches, Zetech University Titans, who rocked Strathmore University 60-57 last time out, will meet Kenyatta University Pirates in match expected to go either way. Titans wind up their two match outing against tricky Emyba on Sunday.
4 Christ will battle hard for two points against MKU Thika, as Lions entertain Barclays Bank while Kenya Defence Forces Morans square it out with Strathmore University. In Nakuru, hosts Nakuru Club play Eldonets at Menengai High School starting at 11.30am. Eldonets women’s team will also host Nairobi-based JKUAT from 10am.
