Favourites Stray Lions, the only unbeaten side in the ongoing Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association Twenty20 tournament, will travel to Nairobi Club on Saturday to face Kongonis from 2.30pm.

The Lions, who clinched the NPCA 50-overs title last year, are fighting hard to end the preliminary rounds on top of the points table as that will give them an automatic spot in the final.

Any of the top four teams stand a chance of winning the championship.

The Lions have experienced players in the side with two former national team captains, Maurice Odumbe and Collins Obuya. Odumbe, 47, is Lions’ skipper this year and has accomplished players in his side who are doing well with bat and ball.

As for Kongonis, they suffered the heavy loss of their captain, Shem Ngoche, who joined Lions. The majority of Kongonis players are young and inexperienced.

The Twenty20 champions, Swamibapa, will be hosted by Sikh Union, who beat them in the first leg.

This is one team that shows little respect to the star-studded Swamibapa. Saturday's game could go either way even though Swamibapa appear stronger, at least on paper.

Kanbis, who were dethroned by Swamibapa last season, will host Ruaraka in a match they should win hands down. Ruaraka have not yet found their grip in the league while Kanbis have outstanding players like Kenya’s skipper, Rakep Patel, Nelson “Mandela” Odhiambo and team captain Rajesh Budhia.

Nairobi Gymkhana will be home to Cutchi Leva in what is expected to be an easy outing for the home side that has a good number of promising players.

All the teams will be in action on Sunday from 9:30 am. The Lions will host Cutchi Leva; Swamibapa will be home to Nairobi Gymkhana.
