For the sixth time this season, AFC Leopards conceded at the death to settle for a disappointing 1-1 draw against Zoo Kericho in their SportPesa Premier League match at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Wednesday.

Earlier on at the same venue, Sofapaka also returned to winning ways after a 2-0 win over 10-man Western Stima.

The second placed Batoto ba Mungu relied on goals from Kepha Aswani and John Avire to beat Stima 2-0 and coach John Baraza elected to discuss his team's title chances after the game.

"My boys have shown that they can fight even when the stakes are against them. We will continue to work hard and fight for everything because we still have seven games. You never know," he said.

Aside from the goals, the Leopards match was also marred by a tale of two misses penalties in the second half.

"My players got tired in the second half and we struggled as a result. That said, a draw is better compared to a defeat," added Leopards coach Andre Casa Mbungo.

Moments later, Leopards talisman Whyvonne Isuza beat Elungat from six yards, but his penalty came off the the bar.
