KPL side to hold trials as new season nears

Bandari FC will conduct a three-day trial at Mbaraki Sports Club to recruit new players ahead of the 2018-19 SportPesa Premier League.

The club chief executive officer Edward Oduor said they have set October 26-28 for the trials to be conducted by the technical bench led by the head coach Bernard Mwalala.

Club assistant coach Nassor Mwakoba, team manager Wilson Oburu and technical director Twahir Muhiddin will also be part of the panel.

“I appeal to talented players who feel they can match the standard to deserve inclusion in the Bandari team to come forward and attend the trials. The trial to start at 8am,” said Oduor.

Oduor confirmed that the players are to report for training a day after the completion of the recruitment exercise on October 29. “We want to start training early to prepare for the new season which starts December,” he said.

Bandari host champions Gor Mahia on the first day of the season on December 8 at Mbaraki.

“We have given the coach a free hand on the players he wants to sign,” he said.
