Bandari have welcomed back midfielder Collins Agade to training after a long injury layoff.

Agade, who joined Bandari in January from Muhoroni Youth, was a regular at Bandari for the first leg but missed majority of the second leg of the past campaign due to an ankle injury.

In his absence, coach Bernard Mwalala promoted youngster Amos Guya to the first eleven where he partnered the experienced Michael Luvutsi at the middle of the park as the Dockers achieved a historic second place finish in the SportPesa Premier League.

According to Bandari team manager Wilson Oburu, Agade - who travelled with the team to Zanzibar for their four-day preseason camp - has now resumed normal training with the rest of the team ahead of their season opener against champions Gor Mahia at Mbaraki Sports Club on December 8.

“Agade is no longer in the injury list, he has started serious training and is fighting for a place in the first eleven,” Oburu told Nation Sport on the sidelines of their Monday training session at Serani Sports Club.

While Agade is now available for selection, Darius Msagha is still behind schedule as he continues with rehabilitation after recovering from a nasty knee injury.

“Msagha underwent a knee surgery two months ago and is still doing light training. He is expected to start serious training in two weeks time,” confirmed Oburu.

Meanwhile, Bandari will play two build up matches ahead of Saturday's friendly with 2010 Kenyan Premier League champions Ulinzi Stars.

On Wednesday, Bandari will welcome National Super League side Coast Stima at Serani before hosting Taita Taveta Combined at the same venue on Friday.
