Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde has included Sergi Roberto in his starting line-up in midfield for Tuesday's Champions League last 16, first leg against Lyon as Philippe Coutinho is left on the bench.

With Arthur on the sidelines, Valverde could have selected Coutinho alongside Sergio Busquets and Ivan Rakitic in his three-man midfield, but the Brazilian starts the game on the bench at the Groupama Stadium.

Rakitic, Luis Suarez, Clement Lenglet and Nelson Semedo all return, as Barcelona chase a first away win in the Champions League knockout phase in three years.

The fit-again Samuel Umtiti is on the bench against his old side.

For Lyon, the absence of suspended captain Nabil Fekir has opened up the door for Martin Terrier to start on the left wing, with Memphis Depay expected to play in a central role. It is just a second Champions League start for the 21-year-old Terrier.

Jason Denayer is passed fit to start in defence in Lyon's first appearance in the knockout stage since the 2011/12 season.
