National Super League outfit Isibania are considering pulling out of the competition due to tough financial challenges they are facing.

The Migori County-based side forfeited their league match against Kibera Black Stars in Nairobi when they failed to show up for the fixture last weekend because they could not raise money for the 392 kilometres trip.

Out of the 15 matches played, Isibania have won thrice, drawn four times and lost eight to place 15th on the 19-team log with 13 points.

They finished 13th in the 2017 standings with 11 wins and seven draws in 36 rounds.

Their coach Daniel Musta has called on well-wishers to come to their aid and help finance the community club.

“For us to compete in the NSL, we need funds to cater for match day logistics, something we lacked last weekend hence forfeiting the match and I don’t know how we are going to foot our bills in upcoming fixtures,” Musta told Nation Sport.

"We don’t want this little achievement of qualifying to the second tier go in vain.”

He added: “Isibania is the only community club in the county and it’s not just a mere football club but a platform to nurture talents as a way of empowering youth in the area. Through our networks, we’ve recommended our players for scholarships in schools."

Migori County sports director Silas Jonyo challenged the club to table a proposal for consideration.

“If they bring a request it will be considered accordingly because we haven’t received one in this financial year,” he said.
