Mathare United on Wednesday missed the chance to close the gap on leaders Gor Mahia after they drew 2-2 away to Nzoia Sugar in a mid-week SportPesa Premier League match at the Sudi Stadium, Bungoma.
The league's top scorer Elvis Rupia continued with his fine form as he netted a brace for the hosts to take his tally of the season to 14 goals, while Samuel Olwande and Cliff Nyakeya were on target for the Slum Boys.
