Fowler backs Salah, Mane to fire Liverpool to EPL title

Former Liverpool forward Robbie Fowler has backed Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mane to fire the club to a first English Premier League title in 28 years.
The Englishman spoke to Nation Sport Friday at the Camp Toyoyo grounds, Nairobi during the second of his four-day visit to the country.
Fowler's working trip to Kenya comes two weeks after former Barcelona star Ronaldinho Gaucho also toured the country.
The 43-year-old who also donned the England shirt 26 times on the football pitch also explained he wished to - just like the Brazilian - nurture talent.
“Football starts with kids,” Fowler explained while imparting tips to young players from the Musa Otieno foundation. “When you have good cultures and people who can teach the kids in the right away and get them to learn the basics of football, then that’s where you start.”
Salah and Mane have created 15 league goals between them for second-placed Liverpool after 12 rounds of matches this season and Fowler is also backing them to push leaders Manchester City all the way.
“They are very talented lads, exceptional quick who have brought an interesting dimension of the game to our team and made it easier to win. I can say we (Liverpool) are in with a chance (of winning the league) and if it doesn’t happen it wouldn’t be because of lack of trying.”

“I want you to help us train our strikers and other players because the current generation of players like Wanyama and Matasi do not have much time left with the national team,” said Mwendwa.
“We are always looking for areas to support more and have been talking to Nick (Mwendwa) on what are the opportunities. Personally, I’m passionate about youth and encouraging the next crop of players to come up,” said Awori.
Fowler also won the FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Cup (Now referred to as the Europa League) and UEFA Super Cup during his stint as a professional footballer.
