The Englishman, in a statement, said he has endured "the toughest month" in his coaching career adding that the disquiet has left him unable to do his job.

“The head coach is responsible for team selection, tactics, welfare of his players and technical bench, the supporters’ trust and more importantly the results,” he said as posted on the club's portal.

He added: “I have NOT been able to do my job as a head coach and if we look back, when I have been able to work with my players, prepare my players and select the best players for all games, the results have been fantastic.

"In the world of football, a club is judged on results and performance and the same applies to the head coach. My football ethics, philosophy and beliefs are being questioned because of our recent results without anyone bothering to look at the circumstances and facts around the team,” concluded Kerr who has led the side clinch two back-to-back titles.

He further apologized to K’Ogalo fraternity for the poor run despite sealing their 17th SportPesa Premier League title with six matches to spare.

Gor will officially be crowned champions on Sunday after their Round 33 game against Mathare United at Moi Stadium in Kisumu County. It remains to be seen whether their losing streak will persist on the big day.

Reports have linked Kerr with a move to South Africa where his performance in the CAF Confederation Cup is believed to have caught the eye of some topflight clubs.
