Kenya coach Mike Amenga has urged his boys not to be carried away by their positive start at the Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (Cecafa) qualifiers for the Under-17 Africa Nations Cup in Tanzania.

Kenya easily won their opening two fixtures, beating South Sudan 4-0, before thumping Djibouti 9-0.

The Junior Stars remaining group assignments are arguably the toughest, against Uganda Sunday evening and Ethiopia on Wednesday.

Still, Amenga has dismissed the notion his team is on a revenge mission against Uganda, a team they lost 2-1 to during the Cecafa Championship in Burundi last March.

He said: “I have never thought of going out to get an advantage over a team because they managed achieve that in the past."

“Our target here is to win the tournament and not look for revenge.”

Against Uganda, goalkeeper Bixente Lizarazu, who is named after the former France star footballer, will, alongside defenders Arnold Onyango and Tony Odhiambo, be tasked with keeping things tight at the back.
