Kenya Under-20 winger Musa Masika is training with the youth side of Belgian giants KRC Genk.

Nation Sport understands the prodigy is on the verge of joining the club's development side after several weeks of trials.

Masika, who turned 18 in August, has been a target of various Belgian clubs and at one time trained with KV Mechelen.

Masika, whose elder brother Ayub Timbe is among the star players in the senior national team, steered Laiser Hill to their maiden National Secondary Schools title in 2016.

He was named the Most Valuable Player at the 2015 national school games in Machakos despite Laiser losing 1-0 to Passenga Secondary in the final before making amends to win the gong in 2016.

Masika, who also emerged MVP at the inaugural Copa Coca Cola games in 2012, made his international debut in Kenya U20's 1-1 draw against Sudan in March 2016 in an Africa U20 Cup of Nations qualifier.

Should he join Genk, he will start where his brother started his industrious career from before joining Lierse and later Beijing Renhe in China.
