Mombasa Comnbined to play KPL sides in friendlies

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Mombasa Sub-branch has formed a Mombasa Combined side of 26 players that will play a series of friendly matches against SportPesa Premier League and National Super League clubs next week.

FKF Mombasa sub-branch chairman Goshi Juma Alliy confirmed the team will host Ulinzi Stars at Bomu Stadium on Sunday before facing Coast-based NSL sides Modern Coast Rangers and Coast Stima as well as 2018 SPL runners-up Bandari.

“We hope these matches are not going to benefit our opponents only but will also help players from our Mombasa leagues to gain exposure and improve their skills,” said Alliy.

Alliy said he will announce dates and venues for other matches after playing Ulinzi Stars who are in residential training camp at the Coast as they prepare for the new season. The Soldiers will play Bandari on November 24.
