On the brink of oblivion, Muhoroni Youth now eager to regain lost glory

Former SportPesa Premier League side Muhoroni Youth will make a return to competitive action when the 2019 Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Division One Zone B kicks-off this weekend.
The 2016 KPL Top 8 winners will welcome the Nakuru-based Timsales at Muhoroni Stadium on Sunday in one of the eight matches lined up for the round one fixtures of the competition.
Muhoroni have not been in any competitive action since were relegated from top tier in 2017, before FKF further demoted the side from the National Super League (NSL) to Division One in 2018 after the club failed to honour three games.
Mohoroni chairman Moses Adagala expressed confidence that the team will return to NSL at the end of the season and eventually to the SPL thanks to their experienced players.
"We have prepared well and we are going to fight for our lost glory come the end of the season," Adagala said.
"We have many experienced players whom we believe will help the team earn promotion to the second tier league and then the top flight league.”
Nakuru AllStars and GFE 105 are also expected to fight for an immediate return to the NSL after their relegation last season.
