Muhoroni Youth will play in the country’s third tier, the Football Kenya Federation Nationwide Division One League in 2019 following their relegation from the National Super League for failure to honour fixtures.

Muhoroni failed to honour three consecutive NSL fixtures and have thus been automatically dropped to the lower league as a consequence.

The team was scheduled to visit City Stars at Camp Toyoyo grounds in one of the seven fixtures on Sunday but were a no show.

Earlier at the same venue, former Oserian and AFC Leopards winger Simon Abuka’s scored the only goal of the match in the 80th minute for KCB against Ushuru as coach John Kamau notched his first win for the bankers.

Abuko tapped home from close range after Ushuru goalkeeper Kevin Obwande parried Rodgers Omondi’s goal bound shot.

“The most important thing is getting the three points especially after a bad start,” said Kamau whose side lost 1-0 to Modern Coast Rangers last weekend.
