Nation Media Group Mombasa Office football team cannot wait to see action in the Mombasa Corporate Left Foot Sports Eight-a-side soccer tournament match opener against Trade Winds Aviation Services Limited on Saturday.

Team coach Abdulrahman Sheriff on Friday said his charges will be going for nothing short of a win in the match set for Burhani Sports Club from 3.30 pm.

The league is organised by Left Foot Sports.

Sheriff, a former Mwenge and Black Panther star striker in the Coast top league,  said the boys had responded well to training and were raring to go with an eye on the trophy.

“We have a good team and will be going straight for a win as we target to take the title in our first attempt,” said Sheriff.

He warned Trade Winds to prepare for the game of their lives.

Nation’s team captain Kevn Odit noted with confidence that they should have little problem winning.

Among the players expected to star for NMG Mombasa are Peter Mwangangi, Philip Muyanga, Karim Rajan, Laban Waloga and Philip Onyango.

In other matches set for Saturday, Maresk Group take on Texas Alarms Limited while Sea Bulk Staff Select take on Bamburi Cement Ltd.
