Nation Media Group’s Mombasa Football Club continued their winning streak when they registered a convincing 7-1 victory over Commercial Bank of Africa FC in their Left Foot League match at Burhaniya Sports Club on Saturday.

It was NMG’s second win in a week after last Saturday's 5-1 rout of Bamburi Cement 5-1 at the same venue.

NMG team manager Lucas Barasa said he was happy with the outcome of the match he claimed came as a result of the players taking training seriously. "I’m happy with the team’s sterling performance and I’ve high hopes of finishing this season in a respectable position," said Barasa.

CBA captain Charles Midigo said they put up a great fight in the first half which they were 2-0 down but their decision to attack after securing their consolation goal, helped their opponents hit them on the counter.

"Had we played the way we did in the first half, we might have shared the spoils or won the match," said Midigo.
