Newly promoted National Super League (NSL) side Shabana have bolstered their ranks with seven players ahead of the new season.

2014 Kenyan Premier League Player of the Year Anthony Ndolo and former Tusker forward Moses Arita headline the list that also has former Ushuru defender David Otieno, Patrick Kwitonda from Nzoia Sugar, Joseph Omweri, Isaac Omweri and goalkeeper Tom Muthomi.

Speaking to Nation Sports, club patron/Chairman Jared Nivaton exuded confidence that their new signings will place them in good stead of gaining promotion to the Kenyan Premier League at their first attempt.

“We are currently in a restructuring process but our immediate mission is to put our act together and return to the the Premiership," said Nivaton.

Shabana, who have a major fundraiser at Crown Plaza in Nairobi on November 30, were promoted to the NSL after edging out Mwatate United 7-6 on post-match penalties in the promotion play-off.

Nivaton said that the chief guest at the fundraiser will be Deputy President William Ruto. He said Kisii Governor, James Ongwae and his deputy Joash Maangi have also confirmed their attendance.
