Talanta fell 1-0 to Nairobi Stima on Wednesday but coach Juma Abdallah is targeting to halt the three-match winless skid that has left them fourth.

“We had a crisis meeting with players and resolved to recover with a win against Ushuru,” revealed the former Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) and AFC Leopards coach.

“It will be a very difficult game but we also have a good team that can upset the leaders,” added Juma who has been boosted by the return of striker Rodgers Omondi.

Ushuru coach Ken Kenyatta, whose arsenals are yet to taste defeat this term, promised to polish his squad ahead of the highlight clash of the weekend.

Second-placed Wazito’s disastrous away form comes under scrutiny once more in Naivasha against a Kenya Police side that has gone for five straight matches without a loss.

“We are full house without any injuries, I am hopeful we can bag maximum points after surrendering a 3-1 lead in the last game,” said Police coach Charles “Korea” Omondi whose charges drew 3-3 against Kibera Black Stars in midweek.

Wazito on their side have lost two games on the road this campaign.

“We are focused and confident with the game plan we shall deploy in the game, we know Police have home advantage but we believe we can concentrate well enough and come out victorious,” said Wazito coach Mohammed Ahmed who will miss injured midfielder Zachary Gathu in this tie.

Five matches have been scheduled for Monday with relegation-threatened Migori Youth hosting Green Commandoes as Bidco United visit Kisumu AllStars.

“Officiating has denied us points in the last few matches, I urge referees to be fair because teams spend a lot in preparing for these fixtures,” said an agitated Bidco coach Anthony Akhulia.
