Eleven-time champions Tusker were Sunday held to a disappointing 0-0 draw by newcomers Vihiga United in a Kenyan Premier League match at Ruaraka grounds, Nairobi.

The home side under the tutelage of Ugandan coach Sam Timbe missed a host of chances in the encounter and will be disappointed not to take all three points in the contest.

The result sees the Brewers remain in 13th place with 10 points, with Vihiga United maintaining their 14th spot, a point less than their opponents on Sunday.

Vihiga launched their first attack through Dennis Wafula on the left flank but Eugene Asike was there to clear the danger. Vincent Wonder set up Andrew Murunga in another promising attack but the latter's shot went far wide the left post.

Wonder's free kick in the eighth minute was not clinical enough and went straight to waiting gloves if Duncan Ochieng. The result left the host searching for only their third win of the season after a disappointing start to the season.
