  • Ruaraka grounds, initially banned by the Stadia Safety and Security Committee of Kenyan Premier League, has now been given a clean bill of health to host low risk matches.

National Super League (NSL) leaders Wazito FC take on second-placed Ushuru in what is expected to be a thrilling match at Ruaraka grounds from 2pm on Sunday.

Ruaraka grounds, initially banned by the Stadia Safety and Security Committee of Kenyan Premier League, has now been given a clean bill of health to host low risk matches.

The Mohammed Ahmed-coached Wazito is the only team that has maintained a perfect start to the new season as the league enters Round 5 before a two-week break, but will be facing an equally formidable side that has dropped only one point, but yet to lose a match.

Shabana will battle it out with Kibera Black Stars at Camp Toyoyo from 3pm in a match coach Gilbert Selebwa has predicted will be tough.

“We are aware that it is going to be tough after they gave an impressive show against Wazito in their mid-week duel before they lost 1-0,” said the former AFC Leopards tactician.

Debutants Eldoret Youth, currently occupying fourth place, will be away in Awendo to take on hosts Migori Youth, while Nairobi City Stars will be at Ruaraka to play Kisumu All Stars in the early kick-off.

The John Amboko-coached City Stars will be hoping to win their first match after failing in their last four encounters.

Thika United, who failed to honour their opening day fixture against Coast Stima, host Kakamega High School’s Green Commandos at Thika Stadium.

Thika are facing financial problems after Brookside Dairy pulled out after the team was relegated from the top flight at the end of last season.
