Harambee Stars left back Abud Omar has joined Romanian topflight side Sepsi OSK on a two and a half year deal after being fired by Belgian Pro League outfit Cercle Brugge.

The Belgian side is reported to have offloaded the Kenyan international for alleged misconduct in the playing unit that did not go down well with the management.

“He had a bad comportment that despite his good qualities they wouldn’t risk retaining him,” a source told Nation Sport.

The 26-year-old has since joined the Romanian side on a free transfer barely six months after joining the rich Belgian league from Bulgaria.

He leaves compatriot, Johanna Omollo at the Brugge-based side.

While in Bulgaria, the player was fired by Slavia Sofia for yet another case of misconduct but the defender pleaded his innocence in an interview with Nation Sport last September.

Sepsi, founded in 2011, is ranked fourth on the 14-team log with 33 points from 21 rounds.

They host their matches at a 5200-seater Sfantu municipal stadium.

This is the first time they are featuring in the Romanian top tier.
