Western Stima coach Paul Ogai has cautioned his side against getting carried away by their victorious start of the 2018/2019 SportPesa Premier League.

Ogai made his coaching debut in top flight competition with a 1-0 win over Posta Rangers on Saturday.

The former Palos FC coach asked his charges not to get excited by the slim victory instead concentrate on the huge task ahead of them. "The win was sweet because it is good to start the league on a positive note. We must remain focus and determined in what we want to achieve at the end of this season," Ogai spoke to Nation Sport on Monday.

The Power Men were promoted to the top tier league after spending a season in the cold having been relegated to National Super League in the close of 2017 season.

The youthful tactician has at the same time asked everyone involved in the team to play their role to ensure their stay in SPL is not short-lived. "Everyone knows exactly what we want and what has to be done to achieve our set goals," said the coach.

The Kisumu-based side next welcome former champions Tusker FC at Moi Stadium on Saturday.
