MOSCOW

France's World Cup-winning squad left Moscow on Monday to return home to a heroes' welcome in Paris, Air France said.

The plane carrying France's players took off from Sheremetyevo airport after they had travelled from their base in Istra outside the Russian capital.

France beat Croatia 4-2 in Sunday's final to win the trophy for the second time.
