Indiza closes in on Uganda Open crown

It is do-or-die for Kenya’s biggest hitter Dismas Indiza as he leads the surviving field of 35 players into Saturday's final round of the 2018 Castle Lite Uganda Open golf championship at the century old Entebbe Golf Club course.
Indiza, who fired his way to the top from day one on Friday, produced a total of eight birdies against bogeys on the eighth, 13th and a double at the par three-10th for three under par 68 for a three rounds total of 12 under par 201, which gave him a clear five shots lead from fellow Kenyan Greg Snow.
The battle appears set between the two Kenyan players as Zambia’s Madalitso Muthiya, who was at one time breathing fire just behind Indiza, bogeyed three holes all at the front nine, despite making six birdies and an eagle two at the par four-14th for a brilliant 66, which however, leaves him seven shots behind Indiza, who birdied the third, seventh, 12th, 14th, 15th, 16th and 18th holes.
Snow meanwhile, dropped shots on the fifth, eighth, ninth and 17th having birdied the first, second, seventh, 14th, 15th and 18th for two under par 69 and a three rounds total of seven under par 206.
Happy Robert remained the best Ugandan in fourth on 209 after firing three under par 68 for the day, a round which included birdies over the seventh and eighth in the first nine and 10th, 11th and 18th at the back nine, where he also dropped a shot at the 15th having also bogeyed the ninth earlier on.
Two times champion and the only amateur to have beaten the pros few years ago, Ugandan Ronald Otile was tying 16th after the close of the third round.
