Kenya’s Is-Haq is eighth in championship

  • South Africans led the individual list where Deon Germishuys, with three under par 285, led a 1-2-3 finish with team captain Martin Vorster on 288 finishing second and Deyzel Werner coming home third on 300 gross.
  • Morocco’s El Kharraz Amine and Dahmane Soufiane were fourth and fifth respectively on 304 and 305 points in the field of 51 players.

AT ROYAL DAR ES SALAAM, MOROCCO

Kenya’s Agil Is-Haq Jamal, whose second round included a hole-in-one, finished eighth overall in individual category of 2018 All Africa Junior Golf Championship which ended at the par-72 Royal Dar es Salaam Golf Club course in Rabat on Friday.

Is-Haq completed the 72-hole championship with an aggregate of 28 over par 316 gross, two shots behind Morocco’s Fakori El Mehdi who posted 314 gross.

Kenya’s other players Kibugu Mutahi (331 points) was placed in 13th and Daniel Kiragu (338) 15th. Kenya’s fourth player Zubair Khan was in 20th place.
