Top juniors headline Kenya Stroke play tourney

This year's edition of the Crown Paints Kenya Junior Stroke play Championship tee offs on Tuesday morning at the par 71 Muthaiga Golf Club.

Top junior golfers, including three Kenya team players, who represent the country in the just concluded Victoria cup at Vet Lab, will be on parade at the annual Kenya Junior Stroke play Championship popularly known as Boys and Girls.

The three juniors, Mutahi Kibugu, Zubair Khan and Agil Is Hag have been drawn in the tournament.

Muthaiga Golf Club’s Mutahi Kibugu won the event last year after four rounds with a total of 11 over par 295 to become the Kenya Junior Strokeplay golf champion.

Handicap three Mutahi Kibugi, carded five over par 76 to beat both Windsor’s Akshay Chandaria and Agil Is-Haq of Nyali by 11 shots.

The three will face stiff challenge from Scotland-based Akshay Chandaria from Windsor and Dubai-based Kellie Gachaga from Muthaiga.
