ACHEIVE THE HIGHEST SPEEDS

This year’s Hill Climb events, dubbed — "The Powerlast Hill Climb" — will be held thrice starting with a two-day event on August 4 and 5 at the Aberdare Hills Golf Resort. Subsequent events will be held in September and November.

The first round of the Hill Climb is on course as organizers put final touches to the competition to take place with less than a fortnight to the start.

The three-kilometre stretch will be graded to make sure competitors are able to achieve the highest speeds to try and set quickest time on the uphill stretch.

The stretch starts from the bottom of the hill at 1,900 metres to the top at 2,200 metres.

Machines, varying from ordinary rally cars to buggies and motorcycles, will be seen in action at the hands of some of the most renowned competitors in the local scene.

"If you want to drive in a competitive environment, in a fun and friendly atmosphere, then this is what the Powerlast Hill Climb is all about," said Gurvir Bhabra, the chief organizer of the event.

A three-kilometre uphill stretch will determine the speeds of the rally machines with the knowledge of the competitors to see who is fastest to the top of the climb.
