Speeding Rai king of Hill Climb race

Speeding Onkar Rai won the Chloride Exide-sponsored Hill Climb race in Naivasha on Sunday smashing the three-kilometre course record.

Driving a Skoda Fabia in the 4WD category Rai recorded a scorching time to grab the mantle of Hill Climb king.

“I am extremely happy to have won the event. It is a great feeling to beat the mzee (Ian Duncan) on a this particular course which proved really competitive. I really enjoyed myself," Rai told Nation Sport.

“The young fellow (Rai) drove brilliantly. I am happy for him though I tried my best in the car which is now for sale to any anyone interested," said Duncan, a former Safari Rally champion and multiple winner of the Kenya National Rally Championship.
