Inter County Games: Athletics competition shifted

Track and field competitions at the Kicosca Games, that were initially scheduled to start on Wednesday, have now been pushed to Friday and Saturday.

The games’ national organising secretary Ken Murini said they were forced to make the changes since most competitors were doubling up in other disciplines.

And with most of the ball games ending today, these athletes will be available for the track and field programme from Friday, he added.

“I am sorry we didn’t announce these changes earlier, but I’m grateful that the games are moving on well,” he said.

Other round of 16 pool results were: West Pokot 3 Murang’a 1, Narok 3 Kisii 1, Bomet 3 Machakos 2, Embu 3 Nyandarwa 2, Kajiado 3 Nakuru 1, Kitui 3 Samburu 2 and Nairobi 3 Uasin Gishu 2.
