Homeboyz on Saturday brought champions Kenya Commercial Bank’s three years Enterprise Cup reign to an end when they beat the bankers 12-10 in the semi-finals at KCB Ruaraka Sports Club in Nairobi.

And at Kakamega Showground, Resolution Impala Saracens defeated Kabras Sugar 16-13 to also storm into the final for the first time since 2011.

The final will held on Saturday.

This is the first time in three years the Enterprise Cup final is featuring new teams. KCB played Kabras in the 2016 and 2017 finals.

Tries from Dalmas Chituyi and Michael Wanjala and a conversion from Johnstone Olindi drove Homeboyz to the final as they condemned KCB to their first defeat of the season.

They also halted KCB’s charge for their seventh  Enterprise Cup success, and their fourth in a row. In Kakamega, Kabras led 13-10 at half time.

Full back Kevin Keegan gave them the lead with a try before he added a penalty.

Winger Malik Habil stretched Kabras lead 13-0 with another try before Impala responded via winger Quinto Ongo’s converted try. Fly half Mark Kwemoi drilled over a penalty to reduce the deficit to three.

Said Impala coach Frank Ndong after the match: “I must say it was not a walk in the park. It was tough. We shall now embark on preparations for the final.”

Kabras coach Charles Cardovillis regretted that they committed so many turnovers from promising positions.

"The boys played well but luck was not on our side,” he said.
