Kenya Sevens collected 10 points from the Singapore Sevens after finishing their campaign with a 17-7 loss to New Zealand in the fifth place semi-final at the National Stadium on Sunday.

Shujaa went to sleep and Dylan Collier was on the receiving end to add another try for New Zealand before Trael Joass punished more slack defending from Shujaa to put the result beyond doubt.

Earlier, the Kenyans lost 24-12 to South Africa in the Main Cup quarters.
Siviwe Soyizwapi was the chief destroyer for South Africa. He scored a hat-trick of tries before Heino Bezuidenhout added his name to the score sheet.
South Africa’s disciplined and watertight defence made it hard for Kenya to stage any comeback. South Africa led 17-0 at half time against Shujaa who looked clueless on the pitch.
Talisman Collins Injera did his best with a brace of tries in the second half but the damage had already been done.
