Time overdue for Leopards to change spots

What you need to know:

  • It’s not personal Mule, but please relinquish the top seat and serve our club in another capacity.

Sacking and suspending coaches will not solve AFC Leopards problems. To put it plainly, even with the most successful coach on the world, Leopards’ poor performance will not be solved.

Coach Rodolfo Zapata was suspended on Thursday for the reminder of the season, a worrying trend given that the action was taken after Argentine winning most of the matches he was in charge.

We must stop these controversial and painful departures and fully support coaches when we set targets to them. Hiring and firing at will puts the club reputation to shame.

The current squad has sacrificed enough to improve Ingwe but the office was not ready to pay them and some will be leaving soon.

When we failed to retain the SportPesa Shield, it was sad to say the least. But losing to Gor Mahia five times consecutively under different coaches is particularly painful.

The office is equally to blame for the current situation we find ourselves in for failing to make player welfare their top priority.

The club needs a strong leadership that will enable Ingwe start the 2019 season on a high note. The current office under Dan Mule isn’t the best for this big club.

I am asking Western leaders to wake up and come to the rescue of our beloved club.

All Ingwe die-hard fans demanding for early elections will be behind you.

The top leadership led by Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula and Eugene Wamalwa should join Governors Wycliffe Oparanya (Kakamega), Wycliffe Wangamati (Bungoma), Sospeter Ojaamong (Busia), Wilber Ottichilo (Vihiga) and Patrick Khahemba of Trans Nzoia to spearhead the process.

Musalia and your brothers, please remember, any action supported by the generals will always be successful.

With only one match left to the end of the season, I would wish to hear that you have met with the club members and settled on an interim committee to run Ingwe affairs until elections are held in June next year.

Mule’s team failed to achieve their goals despite having stayed in office since they were elected in July 2016 at Kasarani in Nairobi.

We have a number of people who are willing to support this club but there is nobody to give them direction to help in reclaiming our former glory. Ingwe needs a tough chairman if we want to move forward.

We have people in the club’s leadership who are only there to do deals on the side for their own personal benefit.

Our club needs more capital than can be provided by fans. Mule and his men should step aside because they have failed to implement their manifesto. Making your transition seamless is something fans will appreciate. Mule has made some important connection, and it’s critical to keep those relations going strong.

I am very well aware that he loves Ingwe, but our ancestors who loved the team more dearly are not happy!

After serving the club for three years, perhaps the best thing is to throw in the towel before Ingwe sinks further.

Creating a smooth transition will help Mule limit the frustration of the fans instead of hanging on and eventually being remembered as the worst chairman in recent years.

While it may be true that he is a vital pillar of the club at the moment, it’s more likely that his officials are letting him down during critical situations. They are not committed. The have one foot in and one foot out.

It’s not personal Mule, but please relinquish the top seat and serve our club in another capacity.
