A total of 146 people who were applied for the position of chief officers in Garissa county have been interviewed by the counties public service board.
Speaking in garissa during the swearing in of the remaining three County Executive members, the county boss Ali Korane said the selection of the chief officers was one of the most competitive positions that was characterized by intense lobbying by those for and against certain candidates.
In the previous administration, the county had 16 chief officers. Korane said that he has already received the list of the candidates and suitability from the Public Service Board.
He said he will present their names in the assembly next week for vetting.
