The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection has stopped the Kenya National Union of Teachers by-election, that was to take place in December this year. In the letter, the ministry confirmed that they had received letters of objection from the national chair, Mudzo Nzili, and the 1st vice chairman, Samson Kaguma, who all say they are yet to attain the mandatory retirement age. The secretary general, Wilson Sossion, says Nzili and Kaguma are supposed to retire six months prior to the retirement age, in line with their consitution. The two leaders were held up in a closed door meeting today, in Mombasa. NTV's Sharon Barang'a reports.
