Maraga asks magistrates to speed up how they handle court cases
Chief justice, David Maraga, has called upon all judges and magistrates to speed up the manner in which they handle court cases, to help ease congestion. Maraga has directed that no case should drag for more than five years without a judgement. during his tour of the western and nyanza regions, he asked council elders to intervine in settling petty cases, to help the judiciary serve Kenyans efficiently. Maraga spoke in Kakamega, where he laid a foundation stone for the construction of the new Kakamega high court, that's expected to cost 388 milion shillings.
