Kenyans abroad sent home Ksh 21.2B in Feb, up from Ksh 14.4B last year
Remittances sent by Kenyans in diaspora increased significantly in February to hit a new monthly high of nearly 21.25 billion shillings on account of increased inflows from the United States.
Data from the Central Bank of Kenya shows the cash rose 47.45 per cent compared to 14.41 billion shillings a year earlier, a new record for the third month in a row.
Diaspora inflows in February were slightly higher than 21.10 billion shillings in January and 20.59 billion in December, which were both historic highs.
