South Sudan labour ministry orders KCB bank to reinstate 67 sacked workers
The labour minister of South Sudan has ordered KCB bank to reinstate 67 employees it fired after they staged a strike.
The bank through its South Sudan subsidiary moved to fire the employees after they demanded salary increments and better working conditions.
The Minister has further directed the bank to pay the workers in full for the period they were out of work.
"The termination of the 67 staff members without following the required procedures as stipulated in the law is unlawful" partly read the order by the Minister.
