Maasai Girls' School, in Narok, closed over claims of sexual harassment
Maasai Girls' School in Narok has been closed indefinitely after students walked out to protest an alleged case of sexual harassment at the school. Over 700 girls at the school staged a walk out in protest, alleging sexual harassment by a male teacher. Narok North Sub County Education Director Samuel Sankale, said the school will remain closed as they investigate the claims. The incident is the latest case in a worrying trend across schools in the country where students have reported to have been sexually assaulted by male teachers withing their learning institutions.
