Kiambu governor orders speedy completion of Lari Hospital ward
Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu has threatened to cancel contracts awarded to construct a hospital block at the Lari level 4 hospital. Waititu accuses the contractors of under performing and inconveniencing the county government's plans. The contractors were awarded a tender to construct a 150-bed capacity ward. The project cost the county government three hundred million Kenya shillings. The contract was awarded three years ago and the project has taken longer than it was scheduled to. The governor gave the Contractors until December to complete the project else he will revoke the contract.
