Tension high along Turkana-Pokot border as two police were shot dead in a midnight attack
Tension is high along the border of Turkana and West Pokot Counties after two police reservists were shot dead at midnight by suspected Pokot bandits within Kainuk location in Turkana South Sub County.
A herder who had accompanied them was injured and is currently recuperating at Lodwar County and Referral Hospital.
This has brought the number of police reservists killed since the Pokot bandits launched renewed banditry attacks intensified along the border since Monday to four. Local leaders have linked the banditry attacks to political incitement.
