Operation order rolled out to tackle new wave of banditry attacks along Turkana and West Pokot
Operation order consisting of six sectors rolled out to tackle banditry along Turkana and West Pokot border. An elaborate operation order has been rolled out along the Turkana and West Pokot counties border to tackle the new wave of banditry attack that has so far led to the death of three people and six including an Anti Stock Theft Unit officer injured in Turkana County since January 12. Turkana County Police Commander Samuel Ndani said that the order has six sectors each with an in charge.
There is a team of security personnel with an in charge who will be responsible for Kitale highway patrol between Marich Pass in West Pokot and Kalemngorok in Turkana County to provide security to motorists.
