Lamu residents decry lack of anti-venom drugs in hospitals
Lack of anti-venom medication in most Lamu hospitals and dispensaries continue to cause untold suffering and deaths.
Residents say if the medication is available, the many deaths witnessed would have otherwise been prevented.
They want the government to ensure health facilities are fully equipped with the anti-venom drugs and personnel employed to end the suffering.
Their appeal comes at a time when a 31-year-old woman Sanita Kahindi Kitsao from Bar'goni Village in Lamu West died of snake bite.
