Sauti Sol perform at state house again as they await MTVEMA announcement

Award winning Kenyan band Sauti Sol on Wednesday evening performed for the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon during a state house banquet to honour his visit.

The all-male band performed in the country’s highest office for the second time after their maiden invitation during the President’s birthday.

The band posted on their Instagram account a photo with the head of state, first lady, UN secretary general and his wife.

This comes even as the voting for the MTVEMA Worldwide Act ended on Wednesday and the winners as set to be announced on Thursday.

Sauti Sol was awarded Best African Act in the MTVEMA this year and was put against Indian rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh and Mohammed Assaf of Middle East for the Worldwide Act Award.
